Description: All natural, just as it comes from the ground in California,untreated mine rough amblygonite,a lithium aluminum phosphate, with a 6 mohs hardness in 75 carat lots,,amblygonite is a fluorophosphate mineral,(Li,Na)AlPO4(F,OH), composed of lithium, sodium, aluminium,phosphate, fluoride and hydroxide.The mineral occurs in pegmatite deposits and is easily mistaken for albite and other feldspars. Geologic occurrence is in granite pegmatites, high-temperature tin veins,and greisens with spodumene, apatite, lepidolite, tourmaline, and other lithium-bearing minerals. It contains about 10% lithium, and has been utilized as a commercial source of lithium,the chief commercial sources have historically been the deposits of California and France. Here we have 75 carat lots of amblygonite scooped from material as pictured with colors running,whiteish,lite green/yellow and sized at approximately 5-15MM,,about 1/8 to 3/4 inch.
