And helped build some of their flagship speakers When I got these the base on one of the speakers was in some standing waterand caused the MDF Base to be swollen and in need of repairI replaced the damaged piece and now looks exactly like the originalI also refoamed both main woofers with new rubber surrounds thatlast longer and are superior to foam surroundsCrossover for the tweeter is 4000 hz, one of the tweeters was blown, I replacedthem with 4000 hz soft dome tweeters that are better and smoother than the originals These speakers because of their design use a Push-Pull systemthat Roy Allison came up with himself. These really soundfantastic and are sure to impress even the pickiest speaker collectorThis “push-pull” configuration, which is similar to the one Allison uses in its top-of-the-line IC-20 system, is said to reduce low-frequency, even-harmonic distortion resulting from driver-suspension nonlinearity during large cone excursions. Such distortions tend to cancel out in the combined output of the two drivers, whose cones are at opposite ends of their travel when driven to extremes.
