It replaces the existing Rear Slide End Cap on Glock and S/W Semi-Auto striker fire handguns and does not impede or interfere any of the factory safety or operating functions. Assists in loading and clearing malfunctions during both two handed one handed operation. Particularly during one handed operation, wearing gloves, and under adverse conditions. 2. Ensures a more consistent and positive grip on slide. This aids in "racking the slide" or “locking the slide to the rear” by individuals with weak hands, injuries, or any other circumstance that could result in less than optimal grip pressure or positioning on the slide. The “ears” for gripping and racking take substantially less pressure to manipulate slide than squeezing or gripping slide alone. 3. Increases safety when reloading or clearing malfunctions with one hand. Allows the user a positive and consistent surface to “grab” or “hook” onto holsters, clothing, or ballistic shields or even a door frame. Also allows the user to point the gun away from the body during these manipulations.4. Ideal for use with handguns utilizing electronic sights. Allows racking the slide or locking the slide to the rear WITHOUT having to touch the red dot as not to damage, obstruct, or disturb the "zero" of the sight. 5. Does not interfere with most duty or concealment holsters, including holsters with active retention. 6. Far superior in safety and consistency than utilizing the “rear sight” or “ejection port” method of manipulating the slide7. Fully ambidextrous and benefits both full size and compact models. Some specific situations in which individuals would benefit from using the TacRack: If you only have one usable arm due to an injury, you can hook the ears of the TackRack on an object to rack the slide and get the gun functioning again from either a malfunction or a reload. For example, belt loop, holster, or door frame. This will keep from having to use the rear sight. If the slide of the gun has a foreign or slick substance on it, or you have gloves on, it gives the shooter something to grab to rack the slide. Police or military using ballistic shields have to hold the shield with one and gun in the other. If there is a gun malfunction, the officer can use the TacRack on the edge of the shield to get the gun functioning.  LEO and Personal Security Personnel, can use the TacRack to consistently perform reloads and malfunctions clearances with one hand, leaving the other hand free to control the principle or suspects.
