Beware of ultra cheap, no-name foil! It is very thin and tears easily, and won't provide the strength needed for your stained glass projects. Plus, poor adhesive can make it a frustrating chore to foil glass and have it stick properly. Silver back foil is used for cathedral glass where you can see the silver color through the edge of the glass, which will match a project that you're not planning on applying patina to.
