Description: Because these gears are brass they are easily drilled from 5/64 to 1/8 of an inch. This is very easy to do on any drill press because the brass is soft. You can buy brass axle shaft at any hobby shop in about 20 different diameters and it is very easy to solder one of these gears to the shaft and it is permanent and much more reliable than a set screw. You can also use the permanent red Loctite for another method of attaching the gear to an axle.The small worm drive mechanism that you see in one of the photographs is manufactured by us.
