Description: Offered is this antique carnival glass footed compote, made in the "Peacock & Urn" pattern by Northwood, probably some time during the period from 1900-1925. The six-pointed scalloped top bowl portion has a dark iridescent finish, with the raised pattern filling most of the bowl. The stem is also iridescent at the top, gradually transitioning into the cobalt blue of the circular base. This may be a rare find; at the time of original listing I could not find another piece like this for sale on eBay. The piece is approx. 5" tall and about 6 1/4" across from point to point. It is in very good to excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The rim of the base is slightly rough and the base seam is is raised, probably both that way from the factory. Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
