Description: Stoneware vessel with a simple, straight walled design. The piece is highlighted by a continuous rib that round around the body of the pot. The artisan who crafted this very carefully impressed their finger from the inside of the vessel out to achieve this effect. The piece is further decorated with a caramel brown glaze that turned to dark brown and almost black at the base and lip. The piece is unsigned, but clearly made by a skilled ceramicist. Approximately 4 ¼ inches tall, 4 ¾ inches diameter. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or other signs of wear. There is a tiny bit of what appears to be paint on a small part of the planter (see photos.)
