Please Note this module comes with an acrylic lens in it to keep dust out. It can not handle the power this unit can put out. It will keep contaminates out of the module until you are ready to put yours glass lens in. Replace with your glass lens of choice before powering the module. The best options are the Aixiz 405/445 Glass Lens or the 405 G-2 Lens. This diode is an amazing shade of blue and is capable of over 4W output when using a G-2 lens and 4A current with proper heatsinking. Save yourself the headache of pressing and soldering. Just add heatsink, glass lens and driver limiting the current to 4A or less. Suggest 3.5A. Diodes are current hungry and as they heat up their internal resistance is lowered causing them to want to draw more current. Don't attempt to connect the diode directly to a fixed voltage source like a battery. You must use a laser driver limited to no more than 4A to power this diode.
