Description: 2014 Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 Wood Library Flame Maple Neck Ebony Fretboard As-new condition from a private collection. Heavily optioned "Wood Library" spec guitar in high gloss "Green Fade" finish. Wood Library is the classification between Artist grade and Private Stock. Features Pattern Regular profile flame maple neck in satin finish and Gaboon Ebony fretboard with abalone outlined bird inlays. Genuine Gaboon Ebony is now listed on both the CITES Appendix II and IUCN Red List and this piece is very tight grained with uniform color throughout. Rivals Private Stock guitars for figured wood selection. Sort of a Gibson-Fender hybrid with a chimey Strat-like acoustic tone. Stock except the original, uncovered black "squabbin" pickups have been replaced with a custom-made set of HFS & Vintage Bass with gloss nickel covers. This pickup combo in a Custom 24 model is the PRS sound. Combined with the 5-way blade pickup selector switch, they offer up five very good and useful tones from modern hard rock to classic Gibson PAF to chimey Fender single coil. Also, the original gold colored bridge saddle screws have been swapped out for the more correct silver colored screws (originals are included). The guitar has a new set of PRS 9.5 gauge Nickel round wound strings and full setup including trem, saddle intonation, truss rod tension, and "meduim" action.
