Description: N O T I C E ! ! ! Maybe this isn't clear. These are star notes with errors. Star notes have been corrected and shouldn't have errors. Go find one, check out the price. If these aren't sold with a day or two, I'm pulling them off and getting them graded. With all the cra! going on in the world, collectables are rising in price. If these are graded above GEM uncirculated, and if you look at the pictures closely they are GEM, Unc. (means they will grade 60 - 70. Better grab these two gems 2009* & 2017* 2 NOTES, STAR WITH ERROR AND ERROR NOTE FRNs Now, read the entire text because there are special items here, making these notes possibly extremely valuable. Let's start with errors and conditions. 1) Three things make a collectible valuable. a) Condition b) Population (rarity) (How many are there?) c) Age. These three things will lead you to a great collection. So, Another thing is important to coin and note collectors is errors. That we got here babe. Condition is super important and we have one uncirculated note and one circulated. The circulated one is in great condition and for special inspection, I have hung the circulated one under a light and you can easily see the condition is more than acceptable but it IS a used note. The other IS UNCIRCULATED. CRISP and new like the day it left the (BEP) Bureau of Printing and Engraving. So, let's start with the older one first. The 2009 is circulated, but not misused. Has some folding (normal) and good edges and corners, no tears, holes or blemishes. No spots etc. Please inspect pictures closely and using the enlarging tool, you can see if it is as described. Additionally: the 2009 has an ERROR which all collectors like and desire. The serial number has a 'rolled number'. Look at the last number in the serial number and the two is rolled down too far and isn't in line with the main number. 2nd ERROR in the 2009 is an alignment error where the 3rd printing is out of parameter. The green seal is shifted to the left and down, not centered like the designer wanted. So actually, you have TWO ERRORS ON ONE NOTE. SO, THE 2ND NOTE: (Saving the best for last) 2017 $1 Federal Reserve Note UNCIRCULATED, PERFECT CONDITION (*) AND WITH THE GRADING SCALE OF ZERO TO 70, (70 BEING A PERFECT NOTE) {BUT WAIT....} The new grading system is using a 10 as the highest grade, so like baseball cards etc, we will not say this note is a 10, but is definitely above a 60. (60 being the line of uncirculated-circulated). Sometimes, an ungraded note or coin which is 'uncirculated', could be called a "GEM UNCIRCULATED", which is a good grade to have. It simply means that it is uncirculated and not below a 60) Notice in the 3rd picture, the note has NO blemishes, holes, folds, bad corners etc. Truly an uncirculated note. The close up pictures show the star and the error. Being a star note, error note and in uncirculated condition brings the value to at LEAST $50 IMHO. This note is Quite special because it is first of all, a star note meaning the BEP printers found the note did not fit the parameters for a quality control pass, so they reprinted it. But in reprinting, they must have been near Friday afternoon near quitting time. To have a star note is fine, and to have an error note is fine too, both good collector's items, but to find a note with a STAR which should be a perfectly printed note as it got ( or supposed to ) came out with yet another error. Look: Notice the 3rd printing, (the green ink) left it far to the left of where it was supposed to be. The green seal should be centered on the word "ONE". IT ISN'T, IT IS SHIFTED TO THE LEFT enough to be just to far. So few coilections have a star note with an error. AGAIN, to have a star note with an error is the incredible find and value here. Once more, notice the verticle pictures show the real condition of the notes. Be sure to use the enlarging tool to get full effect of conditions. Now on to value, what are these worth?... Whitman's Encyclopedia of Paper Money says, "Errors are worth $25 to $50" So, let's just count them up. The 2009 has 2 errors, and the 2017 also has two errors. My math says that's between $50 and $$200. Plus eBay's fees, shipping and so on and so forth. And that's minimum. Separately sold these notes coujld easiily bring $50 to $100, just check sold items on eBay. I'm selling my collection, gettin' too old to continue, family isn't interested, and i'm losing my eye-sight. So forget those market prices and gimme $49.99 FOR BOTH NOTES. I really hate to part with these so inexpensively but, it's time. Don't need to say anymore. Hurry for these, it's the deal of the century. Well, day maybe. Hour? Any written errors are totally unintentional.
