An excellent AV Receiver. This actually has 6 channels: center, subwoofer, L & R front and L & R rear, but it’s referred to as 5.1 (L, R, center, Rear L, Rear R = “5” - plus the Subwoofer = “.1”). I took this as payment for studio time, it’s had one owner and has spent the last 15 years in storage in a climate controlled facility. It’s very clean, sounds very good, and the only wear showing is on top, where a CD player and VHS tape player use to sit. Designed and made by the Japanese company “Matsushita” - which is known in America by the brand “Panasonic” and “Technics”. They use the Panasonic brand mostly for consumer grade boom boxes and cordless phones. Technics is the brand they use for higher end audio gear. ALSO INCLUDES 32 PAGE MANUAL! HAS DSP SIGNAL PROCESSING FOR VARIOUS REVERBS! You just can’t get this to sound BAD. The manual is very helpful in getting the best sounds possible. For the record, I think the remote (not included) really is unnecessary.
