Description: 2 Vintage 1950s IVORY FLAKES Soap Detergent One Full Box Procter & Gamble Props 2 Vintage 1950s IVORY FLAKES Soap Detergent One Full Box Procter & Gamble Props Click images to enlarge Description 2 Vintage 1950s IVORY FLAKES Soap Washing Detergent One Full Unopened 12-1/2 Ounces Boxes Props Not in the best of shape, these 1950s boxes of Ivory Flakes washing detergent still look good when viewed from the front including one side panel. They were produced by the Procter & Gamble Company of Cincinnati, Ohio (founded in 1837 by William Procter and James Gamble). Their initial soap product was named 'Ivory' and was developed in the 1880s. Both boxes of Ivory Flakes are the 12-1/2 ounces large size and measures 6" x 8-5/8" x 2". Weight is 1pound 7.5 ounces for both boxes. The side panels claim that this soap is "99-44/100% Pure." One box is unopened, while the other is opened and has slightly less than half of its original contents. Both are in reasonably good vintage condition and would display well, if you featured the front and one side panel of the unopened box. As is visible in the photos, that box has staining on the back and the other side panel while the opened box is in better shape in regard to the graphics.
