Any other items appearing in pictures are for illustrative purpose only) The socket provides exceptional high voltage isolation, is a good fit on the tube and withstands soldering of contacts well (please see the last picture) Note: SBT-10 tubes' contacts when fabricated are soldered at the ends of the pins. Random amount of solder is left on pins during this process, makind pins different width on different tubes. Therefore some fitting sometimes needs to be done.The simplest way is to use some metalic tool (i.e. straight pliers) to widen every contact by simply plugging the pliers end to every contact socket.
