Description: Recent North Carolina estate find. This listing is for a beautiful rectangular serving tray with handles by Royal Crown Derby in the Derby Peacock Blue pattern. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or stains; shows no wear and extremely light to no evidence of use. Couple marks on the underside, most likely from original production. Outstanding piece! Would be very hard to find one of this age in better condition. Approximately 18 7/8" by 12 5/8". The blue base color is vibrant, the gold embellishments are extremely strong and the glaze has a nice sheen. Marked with the 1877 to 1890 mark; first mark to use the interlinked D's below the crown. Also has the impressed "Derby" mark and what could be a date cypher code corresponding to 1880, but we're not sure. An absolutely stunning and grand piece.
