Description: Well I just don't know! I have about a dozen of these cards, each with a different comical or satirical cartoon caption. Social and ethnic humor is definitely a common thread.Apparently issued for advertising handout solicitations by John Cullen who was offering art works and looking glasses for sale with purchasing on installments as a possibility. I can find little history on the printmaker: Miller, Wagner & Unbdenstock of Chicago, Ill. I was able to find one similar card which I have pictured along with the one for sale which featured frogs portrayed as a church choir that was used by a photographer. It has the same border and lower printmaker identification. I can find no information on John Cullen unless there was some form of relationship to John Cullen Murphy who became a reknown cartoonist that lived in Chicago in his youth.Anyway I felt it best to put one up for sale and hopefully get some feedback and interest in regards to the others before determining how to sell the lot of them. The card measures 2 1/4" x 4 1/4”
