Description: Antique late 19C carved and painted "Votive Stele" Chinese ancestral altar, Qing Dynasty. Painted with dark red enamel and there is gilt applied to the carved dragons. Includes 4 individual pieces, and it is missing the top piece. It has a sticker from Louis XIV Antique Shop on Fifth Ave in NYC. There are cracks in the center piece that have been repaired and is it missing the top piece, also the carved piece on one side has its bottom peg broken off (it can be glued back on) inside the base. It needs work but it is a large and impressive hand-carved antique. The pegs at the top can be shaved off and it will look fine without the missing top piece.This is an estate piece and no history is available. Please view photos and ask questions prior to purchase.
