In 1976, SSPC "broke" the Topps monopoly by issuing a beautiful set of 630 cards of current players, available by mail to collectors.. Topps sued them and prevented them from issuing any more than a few further small sets, but the 1976 set remains very popular with collectors. Here I have the complete set of San Diego Padres players from the 1976 set, 24 cards in all, including Hall of Famer Dave Winfield, in near mint-mint condition. See scans.
