Description: 1970 Caravelle Sea Hunter. Also known as Devil Diver. Great vintage condition with patina matching its over 50 years of age. This vintage wristwatch from the very early 1970s is a must-have for collectors. The elegant Caravelle Sea Hunter model is in excellent working condition, having recently been serviced by Vintage Watch Restoration in Phoenix to ensure accurate timekeeping. The watch features a classic design with a black dial, luminous hands, and a silver-tone stainless steel case. The Caravelle brand is known for its quality craftsmanship, making this a reliable and stylish accessory for any occasion. Add this timepiece to your collection today! At 37mm, the case is well sized for modern wear, especially given the 20mm lug width.Ive thrown a vintage-style metal bracelet on mine, which is how this model was shipped originally.I love that the crown is large, signed and unprotected, adding to the 60s vibe.By far, my favorite attribute of the Devil Diver is its dial. Its perfectly balanced, and the tritium lumed explorer style indices are simply awesome.. Original crystal clear but has age related crazing. Whats impossible to overlook is the reason this watch got its nickname the 666ft depth rating.I have to imagine that Bulova (and by extension, Caravelle) chose this rating with cheeky intention it doesnt exactly equate to 200m and differed from other standard depth ratings of the time. Its something I find unique and quirky. Thanks for your time and take care
