Description: This listing is for a monster player 1965 Gibson Melody Maker. This Double Cut single pickup Gibson Melody Maker was made in 1965. The guitar has the wide 1 & 11/16ths nut width. The guitar has been professionally set up and plays great with low and comfortable action. As you can see, the original pickup has been changed to a Dimarzio DP192 Air Zone PickupThe pots are original and date to the 8th week of 1965. The other original parts are the truss rod cover and strap buttons. The pickguard is original but has been modified to accommodate the humbucker pickup.The bridge is a vintage Leo Quan Badass bridge which works well. The studs are the original studs. The knobs and tuners are not original. The guitar has had a number of different tuners on it and there are some filled holes on the back of the headstock. The guitar has a heel crack repair to the treble side of the neck, see pics. The finish is original and has a lovely vintage Cherry patina but guitar shows lots of cosmetic wear such as nicks, dings and scratches.
