Description: Here is the rear seat from a '64 Galaxie 500 2-door hardtop. I understand that this will also fit '63 Galaxie 2-door hardtop, but the buyer will need to confirm this. The width of the seat is 63", and the distance between the mounting points at the bottom of the seat back is 26". This is for the standard Galaxie 500.....the seat back is NOT correct for the XL. The metal tags on the back are still there, and the seat back has the number C4AB 6360700-A and the seat base has C4AB 6363120-C. This seat is an excellent core for new upholstery and padding/fabric, as there are no broken or rusted-through or noticeably thinned springs or frame members.....as far as I can tell, all metal parts just have surface rust, and no rot. I have had this seat in dry storage for many years (intending to use it in a project that is obviously not going to happen). This seat could also be used in a "rough driver," as the (teal-colored) upholstery is in pretty good shape for its age, but certainly not perfect. There are three small holes in the vinyl of the seat back, and there is a short tear and a section where a seam has come undone on the base (see closeup photo). Plus, much of the cloth fabric that connects the vinyl to the frame has separated. And on the back or underside of each section, patches of the fabric and padding are missing (see photos). Buyer to pay shipping based on location, $240 for the eastern half of the US and $160 for the west coast (if you're on the west coast and the eBay system makes you pay the full shipping price, I will refund you the difference of $80).
