Description: Product Description1956 Franklin Half-Dollar Graded by NGC at PF 68 CAMEO. CommentsProof Franklin half dollar certified by NGC with a grade of PF 68 with CAMEO designation. This coin is composed of silver with a fineness of 0.9 and is a proof strike specimen. This coin series features Benjamin Franklin on the obverse and the Liberty Bell with a small Eagle on the reverse. This coin was minted in Philadelphia and is considered proof uncirculated with a superior near perfect grade assigned by NGC. Encapsulated in an older NGC holder, this specimen carries the CAMEO designation due to the frosty devices contrasted sharply against the mirrored fields. The coin itself is solid blast white with black-n-white mirrors - about as good as it can be for the grade. There is a halo of vintage golden brown around the perimeter of the coin but this is an illusion produced by the older holder - which we think adds to the appeal! This Franklin half dollar is an excellent addition to any collection due to its superior grade and PQ characteristics. What's great about a coin like this is you can get all the qualities of a coin that, in an earlier year in the series, would fetch well into five figures. These mid-century moderns are very nice and extremely collectible for the long haul. Feel free to request other photos and we'd be happy to provide. We shot a couple sets with different lighting characteristics but no filtering or doctoring - all natural photos! We did our best to carefully provide the most accurate photos as possible. As eBay sellers, we want to be sure there is no mystery with coin you are buying!!!
