Description: Up for sale is our new 1955 through1959 Chevrolet Black rubber floor mat that has been created from the development in a very expensive tooling company for over "one" year before the manufacturing started. So much extra had to be done before they would be like the original pickup truck on the assembly line 65 years ago. This mat separates the men form the boys in any show because: - Ridges on the underside allow water to evaporate if it ever creeps underneath. As GM made them!. Saves the metal floor from rust! - Top ridges are cut side to side and top to bottom. It was very important to be like GM did it in the 1950's. - The biggest tooling expense was the development of the raised area in the middle of the toe board. This was on ALL 1955-59 cab firewalls had to make room for the extra length of the standard 235 six cylinder engine if the short V8 was not ordered. (This had to be made by a special tooling company as no one seems to make a floor mat that is not perfectly flat. All these 1955 1956 1959 black mats come in a round tube so no wrinkles will develop during shipping.
