Description: SCROLL DOWN FOR DESCRIPTION, PHOTOS AND TERMS DESCRIPTION: 1954 Photo Ernest and Hazel Mollenhauer in costume for the Center Point Centennial, the Mollenhauers had a farm in Grant Township, Linn County, Iowa, near Walker. From an album of photographs showing the descendants of Carter (aka Cart) Bailey Darland (born in either Montezuma or Union Township Iowa June 13, 1859) and Nettie Jane Cochran, who were married on January 24, 1886. Carter died on December 26, 1937, at Urbana, Benton County, Iowa. Carter and Nettie Darland had several children, including Maud Molly Minerva Darland, John Abraham Darland, Elizabeth Lizzie Louisa Darland (born August 19, 1890), Nellie Frances Darland, Estella Stella Gertrude Darland, and Frannie Edna Darland. Elizabeth Lizzie Louisa Darland later married Samuel Mollenhauer (b. May 28, 1888 at Center Point, Linn County, Iowa). The wedding took place on March 22, 1913 at Center Point. Samuel was a farmer, and died on Nov. 20, 1972 at age 84. They had two children, Donald Glenn Mollenhauer (b. June 6, 1914, d. May 12, 1963), and Hazel Leona Mollenhauer (b. September 3, 1917, d. Jan. 21, 2009). Donald Glenn Mollenhauer married Fern or Ferne Schultz on February 14, 1937, at Center Point, Iowa. They had several children, including Myrna Lee, Merle LeRoy, Marvin Roy, Linda Mae and Francis Kae. Hazel Leona Mollenhauer married Alex Cicero Knudson on September 12, 1937. Alex died on December 12, 1962, and Hazel eventually remarried to Lester Lee on January 25, 1969. Hazel and Alex had three children, Richard Keith, Karol Jean (Lubben) and Kay (Stirm). Lester Lee had one son from a previous marriage, Lars Lee. We are guessing that many or all of these photos belonged to Hazel Leona Mollenhauer Knudson Lee, as there is a lot of documention on the back of the photos, some old writing with pen and ink, and ballpoint ben notations made in later years by an elderly person with shaky handwriting.
