Description: A pretty cotton dress. Many pleats and a full skirt. Under the bust is a modest bow. The waist had belt loops for the sewn in waist ties. The metal zip glides well. The fabric gathering in the bust allows larger than the armpit to armpit measurement, or at least more comfortable. The garment has some things to note. Each arm hole has a mend on the hem. I think this may be a handmade dress. Inside of the bust has an intentional cut which I do think is helpful. It actually allows the bust to fill out and utilize the fabric pleating shown on the outside. I suspect that if this is a pattern or drafted dress, the left and right panels were cut at the same time. And maybe something happened to the fabric? Causing a mend that almost mirrors?
