Description: Here is a rare and beautifully made miniature chest of drawers made for jewelry from the 1950s. It is made of American maple and finished very similar to Heywood-Wakefield furniture of the period and would pair well with that style. Each drawer is delicately lined in teal fabric with trimming to edges, all intended to soften your most precious jewelry and prevent shifting around. The craftsmanship of each drawer, pull and the case overall is done with the same care of a full-size chest of drawers, except it's miniature! No manufacturer's markings anywhere, although it is clearly American from the 1950s. Pulls are individually screwed on and resemble stylized bamboo. The grain of the maple wood is beautifully figured in places. Superb condition, original finish. Interior drawer lining with original teal fabric could use cleaning/vacuuming.
