Description: 1950s Asian Child Nodder Bobblehead Japan EUC For consideration is this vintage nodder or bobblehead depicting an Asian person from around the 1950s. This shy figurine is carrying a lantern and wearing dark brown traditional dress with a red hat. The sweet face gives no clue as to whether this is a boy or girl even considering the hairstyle as the eyes and lips are so pretty! This is made of a paper Mache type plaster and hand painted. This measures 6 inches tall and the head approximately 2½ inches across. It is in excellent vintage condition with no nicks, chips, scratches or repairs noted. There is a small crack beneath the left ear (see photos). Buyer will receive FREE shipping. Thank you for looking! NOTE: The definition of a nodder is “One who nods; a drowsy person” and the definition of a bobblehead is “a figurine with a disproportionately large head mounted on a spring so that it bobs up and down, often made as a caricature of a famous person”.
