Description: Original 1941 Shaker Heights planning map. Perfect unique gift. 1941 Shaker with Laurel School and adjacent area. The map consists of two areas, Laurel and the area south of the school. The map layout makes the mind think they are on the sides of each other. Keep in mind the two maps are not east/west. Good condition with expected age toning, wear of 80 some years. Still many open parcels, pink building are brick, yellow wood, brown are stone, limestone. Hand colored. I have very few original Shaker maps remaining. Due to Internet copying I have had to scramble the images in order to make it a little more challenging for copying and re-printing. The original is, of course, untouched. A time machine to a great time in the city history. We have been ephemera, map, atlas, etc. collectors for many years and are again trying to thin out our collection. Over the years, we have made a very good number of donations to historical societies, libraries, good causes as we share their purposes and passions.
