The scarce 9.5 x 4.25" mailing envelope holds the following: Handbook folder (8.5" x 11", 8 pages), "Slidomatic" Radio Decoder (9.25" x 4"), & tin "Mysto-Snapper" (1.25" x 2-3/8"). The Handbook opens to a 11" x 34" sheet. One panel is "Secret Guard" membership certificate (unused). Other panels have highly graphic pictorials and text including depiction of Mysto-Snapper signal clicker. A treasure chest of over 17 described premiums are illustrated, including the "Secret Guard Captain's Commission Glow-In-The-Dark Badge", "Secret Guard Folding Wing Plane" and "Secret Guard Magnifying Ring". Decoder is complete with slider top and instructions on back. Tin litho Mysto-Snapper (made by Kirchhof) still functions well. Handbook dutifully promotes Quaker Oats "Sparkies", the official Secret Guard breakfast cereal. An outstanding & scarce radio / cereal premium with spectacular eye appeal. Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/edge wear. Moderate surface creasing on handbook with scattered edge separation at folds (largest edge tear is approx. 3/8"). One 1/4" surface tear on envelope with approx. 2.25" flap edge separation. Moderate surface scuff wear on Mysto-Snapper. Small top pin (for use as a badge) is missing. No tears on Decoder. Colors and imagery are still bold, bright and very attractive. Overall, we feel this grouping is in very displayable condition by most standards (see photos).
