It bears 3 stamps on the back: Apex Photograph Company (Chicago), American League Service Bureau (Chicago), and an archival date stamp that says "Reference Dept., Apr. 26, 1938, Press." This photo is not signed by the player. CONDITION: Lovely vintage condition, from a non-smoking environment. Small handling issues--light soiling, crease, no signs of abuse. ABOUT THE AUTOGRAPH: This piece came with no COA or other authentication paperwork. It was purchased at an auction that included numerous items from the estate of an autograph collector. The various pieces had different levels of authentication. From my personal examination, I am convinced that it is an authentic original 1938 press photo. But please understand that you are buying a piece with no third-party authentication. The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues.
