This is the hobby's one and only MINT example and it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to find one that was better.Howie Morenz, one of the original 12 Hall of Fame inductees, is considered by many to be the greatest player in the first half of the 20th century. Morenz led the Canadiens in scoring for seven straight seasons while capturing three MVPs and leading his team to three Stanley Cups.Early in 1937, Morenz suffered a horrendous leg injury against the Chicago Black Hawks and never returned to the ice. A little over a month later, he died in the hospital where he was being treated. These events are memorialized on the reverse side. This legendary card then, represents Morenz' last NHL season and was printed shortly after his death. It is also one of the most valuable and historically significant hockey cards in existence.
