Description: 1936 Typed Letter Signed by WWI Veteran & U.S. Army Officer This one-page, typed letter, dated May 17th, 1936, is from Lt. Col. John W. Keveney writing to Col. Charles A. Ranlett, a longtime master of military instruction of all Boston schools. Keveney recalls meeting Ranlett during the 1st World War. He writes about the decorations he received during WWI and his current position at Ft. Leavenworth with the War College there. Much more within. Comes with the original, stamped cover addressed to Ranlett in Billerica, Mass. that happens to be initialled by Ranlett. CDS stamped MAY 18, 1936 - SHORT FALLS, N.H. Document in Very Good condition; showing moderate aging and wear, stains, marks, and fold creases. Also included is an 8x11 photogravure of an older Col. Ranlett mounted on horseback.
