Description: The Universal model E9410 Toaster, also known as the Sweetheart Toaster, patented in 1929. A lovely design plus a neat method of flipping the toast around. A push of each button causes the flipping action on each side with the direction of the flip alternating with each push of the button. The flipping action works. The earring like pendants on the sides have age toning as do the buttons that you press to flip the sides. The four original feet are all present. The feet have age toning that matches the pendants. The toaster measures 8 3/4 inches tall. The mica looks to be a bit dusty but is in overall good condition with no breaks that I can see. I plugged the toaster in with an old cord I have to see if it heats up. Unfortunately it does not. I took a close look at the metal filaments that wrap around the mica and I did see a broken loose one at the bottom (see 7th photo). I was not able to determine definitely if there are any missing filaments. So it is being sold as is and not in working condition. There is some oxidation in the nickel (?) plating and some areas of loss of plating particularly at the end with the buttons. The metal of the flipping sides has darkened from exposure to heat. Please see photos. It does not come with an electric cord and plug. Dark areas at the plug end in a couple of photos are due to shadows, not due to loss of plating.
