Description: This is a Buescher True-Tone low-pitch tenor sax in silver plate, serial number #2279468. This saxophone is playing but since we are not sax people we don’t know how well. The pads still seem soft and all of the springs and buttons seem to be working but since we aren’t experts in this stuff we are offering it in as is condition. The Buescher True-Tone model saxophone was produced from the early 1910s until the early 1930s, this one was manufactured in 1927 approximately. Equipped with full chromatic key-work from low Bb up to palm F, trill G# and D# options for the lower stack, and standard side Bb, C and high E keys. The split bell keys give this horn a true early American vintage look. Physically this horn is in good shape, not much dent work has been done to this one. There is no evidence of past resolders that we can find. If you're a player who appreciates the early swing of the 1920s you'd be pleased with how this horn plays, scoops and wide vibratos come easily, you'll be crooning in the club in no time. We are offering this horn in as-is condition. It does play at this time but it probably needs to be overhauled before it could be considered in perfect playing condition. . This horn ships in as-is condition in a red leather, hard-wood box case . Please feel free to make an offer, or trade us a guitar for it since we aren’t sax guys.
