Description: DESCRIPTION: Original vintage photograph. Identification of the photo is taken from notations on the back, captions in a photo album, or from similar images in the same collection. From a wonderful collection of photos from 1918-1921, of the Sac City, Iowa family, of William Henry Hawks (1872-1921), who was a farmer, and his wife Sarah Elizabeth Webster Hawks (1873-1965). William died just a few years after these photos were taken. Identification is based on the newspaper obituary of William Henry Hawks which was pasted on the cover of album. While a few photos of the family were identified, the rest of the photos have been compared to by facial features, military clothing, etc. Further factual info was obtained from a ancestry site, and this was done to the best of our abilities. There are also some photos of the Bill and perhaps Sarah's relatives, the daughters husbands and their relatives, and other family and or friends. Some of which could not be identified. This album was most likely owned by one of William and Sarah's children. William Hawks parents were William Hawks (1841-1891), and Anna Margaret Wildman (1845-1913), and we believe Sarah's father was William Thomas Webster (1841-1907), and mother Mary L. Carr (1842-1898). Their daughters were: Ethel Hawks (1895-1977) who married Charles Tullock White (1892-1967), who most likely served in the army, whose parents were Muncey Hamilton McCartney White (1863-1934), and Helen Abigail Tullock or Tulloch (1863-1948). Charles and Ethel lived Sac City, Iowa. Anna Margaret Hawks (1897-1967) who married Lewis W. Wildman (1884-1970), whose parents were Louis Wildman (1885-1918), and Alwilda Quick Wildman (1854-1927). Anna and Lewis lived in Iowa, Patch Grove, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Elma Letelia Hawks (1900-1983) who married Wayne Loetius Corderman (1899-1848), whom served in the navy, and they lived in Iowa. There are photos of nearby towns such as, Wall Lake, Clear Lake, Twin Lakes, Lake View, Denison Beach, Rainbow Park, Manilla, Ulmer, Des Moines, and Carroll Iowa. There are some great old photos of a circus parade going through the towns, relative J. N. Hawks general store in Sac City, Iowa, and there are also some photos from Wisconsin. SIZE: Approximately 2 5/8" X 4 3/8". CONDITION: VERY GOOD, might have some black scrapbook paper on the back.
