1907 Indian Head Cent - AU+ POLIQUIN PLATE, REPUNCHED DATE, REV CRACKS (J730)

Description: DESCRIPTION - (Please Read) 1907 Indian Head is AU+ and is Raw/Uncleaned. The coin has a warm brown color exactly as shown. Details: Repunched Date (90/90) with multiple reverse cracks. This is the exact Discovery/Plate coin for Poliquin Var-81 as shown in photos 3-5, and 7. Due to the reverse die cracking, the die pairing saw limited strikes with a rarity of URS-8 and only 65 to 125 coins estimated. The die pairing of the reverse die is what makes it more rare. Cracked dies are taken out of service during periodic Mint inspections. Please check out David Poliquin's free web source for Indian Head information and die analysis (indiancentvarieties).
