Description: Very scarce and original, 1880's Folding Chromolithograph Advertising Trade Card advertising "Jackson's Best" Chewing Tobacco. When folded closed the Trade Card Measures 3 1/2" by 3 3/8 and pictures two smiling men - text reads "Though melancholy once they were, / With troubles sore oppressed, / They now appear a happy pair / For they Chew Jackson's Best". The bottom half of the Card folds down and the gentlemen are holding a big bag of money along with their large plugs of Jackson's Best Chewing Tobacco. Further revealed test reads "happy, healthy and wealthy." Chew Jackson's Best and get rich! This rare original Folding Advertising trade Card is in very good condition with some general age wear and foxing or soiling. No stains, no tears, no creases other than the fold. The back does have some damage, looks like it was attached to a scrapbook at one time. A fantastic addition to any collection! Will ship in archival plastic sleeve for ongoing care and preservation.
