Description: ANTIQUE VICTORIAN MINIATURE THEATER POSTER SALESMAN’S SAMPLES FIVE POSTER SAMPLES Each sheet measures 8 1/2” X 5 1/2” with borders. I'm guessing about 1880 on thin paper. Mentions printing electrotypes which were invented in 1838. I obtained these about 20 years ago from an antique poster dealer. Under each sample are the prices and sizes for the big ones as well as small ones for cards or programs. One shows a mythical lady with a trident. Another one is entitled “Little Fraud”. Another shows a lady with a sword. Another has 4 characters called “Clodoche Troupe” and another is called “Dutch Specialties”. Looks like mostly early vaudeville or theater. A banner can be placed under each big poster giving dates, prices etc. for the show. In fine condition.
