Description: First edition containing a wealth of information relating to the Devonshire parish of Widecombe-in-the-Moor. Bound in the original brown cloth with gilt title to spine and upper board, decorative borders to both boards, in black to upper board. Binding remains sound, lightly rubbed with some wear to corners, crumpling and some fraying to spine ends, cloth slightly faded to lower board. Armorial bookplate to front pastedown, early owner's inscription to ffep, dated 1886. Text-block cracking and a little weakened in places but remains generally sound overall. A little browning to title-page and final page, occasional light foxing, otherwise pages generally clean and tidy. Please view images carefully to confirm condition.
