Description: 1818 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Coin displays real nice details. Hair and curl details nearly full. Stars, drapery and clasp fully intact. Its well raised milling looks like no trace of wear. Coin displays a very light original tone over a brilliant lustrous surface. Reverse is just as nice. The coin offers wonderful appeal. Major die break on the obverse. It seems to start just right of clasp, down to midway in ribbon. It then continues up right thru bust and field to stars left. It runs thru stars to milling just right of top star left. It continues on straight down to cap to Liberty in headband. Although photo doesn't pick up well this break is quite large and easy to see in hand without magnification. It is easily identified as O-104A Obverse photo doesn't pick up just how lustrous the coin really is. In hand its so much better. The reverse photo is more the representation of what the obverse looks like. See our store for additional Bust Half Dollars along with many other numismatic coins and currency.
