Description: This 1808 Draped Bust Half Cent is the 1808 over 7 Overdate Variety for this year. This is a Very Scarce to Rare Variety, especially so this nice and in this grade! This is a very pleasing coin, for a variety that just doesn't seem to come very nice most times. This coin grades EF-AU or EF++. It has very bold details and only very light wear. It is kind of a medium antique brown toned with just a hint of some Mint Red showing on the obverse. The surfaces are again, quite nice for the variety. There are no heavy marks or hits, just some tiny old nicks and ticks as seen in the images. Just a great example of this tough variety. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer example at twice the price. Here is an opportunity to acquire a very desirable coin at a very reasonable price. Just a great coin!
