Description: 1805 Ireland half penny. The obverse shows a portrait of George III, facing right. The obverse legend shows "GEORGIUS III . D , G. REX". The reverse shows a large crowned harp, with "HIBERNIA" above it and the date, 1805, at the bottom. The piece is 27.6 mm diameter. Both sides are a medium to dark brown color. In hand the piece is uniformly darker brown in color, especially on the portrait side, than most of the pictures are showing. It is on both sides more the color of the dark brown showing on a couple of the pictures of the reverse, harp side. Same light for all pictures but some showed up lighter. The obverse shows strong detail on George III, on his draped robes, his laureate wreath, and his facial details. The reverse shows strong detail of the crown and decorative work on the harp.
