Description: young at heart, "The World's Darling", Adorable, 18" tall, original 1934, early issue, signed head and body, composition Shirley Temple doll produced by Ideal Novelty & Toy Co. as designed by Bernard Lipfert. Wearing original, tagged:18 pleated red music ♪♫ "Our Little Girl" dress, with butterfly sleeves, original organdy undies, slip with attached panties, original leatherette shoes with center snaps and buckle trim, (orig. store price on one sole of shoes) original red and white socks and original Shirley Temple pin. She has hazel brown (cloudy) sleep eyes with perfect inset sable eyelashes as well as painted lashes and multi-stroke brows, original beautiful, curly blond wig in original soft curly set, an open mouth with row of pearly teeth, molded dimples and lovely smile. She has a swivel neck and joints at her shoulders and is marked on the back of her neck: 18 over Shirley Temple Cprt. Ideal N. & T. Co. (inside her leg joints: 18) and across her shoulders: Shirley Temple 18 (as described on pages 13-15, "Shirley Temple Dolls & Fashions"-Pardella). She is in generally very good overall condition with no damages, light crack line above one eye, some crazing on both legs, (almost covered by socks) no repainting or stains and no odors as she is from a smoke free home.
