Description: 1/6 plate Tintype 13 people, young and old, in great hats - family portrait This photo is interesting. It is portrait style, so folks are crownded in together, arranged in 3 rows. The top row has 5 women and a lone man, standing. The second row has 2 men and a woman seated and one man kneeling. The front row has two young girls and a little boy seated. Image is a bit dark. Some varnish swirls and pooling. Some folks are in clearer focus than others. Measures 2.25 x 3.25 inches My mother was a photographer who collected antique photos of all types for years. As I am settling her estate, I will be listing these photos as quickly as I am able. There are hundreds of photos to go through, and I am trying to match any information my mother may have left with individual photos. Unfortunately, Mom had dementia at the end of her life and wasn't able to tell me much about her collection. She had done a lot of research into photographers and individual pieces in her collection, and often, but not always, filed her research with the photo(s). I search for more information on the internet and in history books, but it's a slow process and it will take me a long time to complete the sorting and selling process.
