Description: This 1554B telephone is in working condition! It dials out, rings, and works in conversation. The original dial was broken beyond repair and was rebuilt to ensure more years of trouble free service; the dial has a polarity guard installed meaning you need not swap the red and green wires inside (ITT 32OPG dial used to rebuild WE dial). Also, the tenite buttons were replaced with W.E. ABS ones and the same applies to the plastic part of the hook switch. The ringer had its screw preventing silencing removed, meaning you may choose to silence the ringer without making any disconnections inside. When considering the COSMETIC condition, the plastic has a decent amount of wear. There is scratching, a very crack by where a hardwired cord can enter the phone on the lower left part of the telephone's base plastic (see picture 6), and there is some kind of abrasive-ness to the top of the base. I purchased the phone like this and have not figured out what it is. The handset cord is also extensively stretched and could use more of a detailed cleaning. Chrome has some pitting.
