They replace bulb type #400 and are bright white. Each bulb is about 15 degrees cooler than the original bulb and use a fraction of the power. LED's are long lasting and super easy to install. Just twist your old base out and twist the new one in, no light? twist out and turn 180 degrees. New bases are sometimes a little hard to get in but they will work fine.
