Description: I need to clear some space on my shelves, so I have to part with some of my collection. THIS IS MY LAST ONE! If you like big Jugs, I believe this is the biggest Jug available on the market. These kits are enjoying a rebirth of sorts. Following the demise of the Vintage Fighter Series company from the UK, these had been Out of Production for a while. Fortunately, Kinetic Model Kits has acquired the molds and has brought these back to the market. VFS planned a Razorback version but never got it to market. Kinetic Model Kits put out the first Razorback kit (KIN #3208) in 2015 and this kit (KIN #3212) is the RAF version. This very rare monster is insanely detailed. There are multiple options for the prop, drop tanks, wheels, ammunition troughs and even the gunsights for crying out loud. The engine is a sophisticated 59 piece mini-kit in itself and the large Cartograf decal sheet is stunning! There are a few listings for this kit on eBay (mostly from overseas sellers), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this item very quickly. The Internet and the modeling community were absolutely thunderstruck with this kit, and you can find abundant praise for the quality and stunning detail of this kit. Here are a few examples from around the web: The Kinetic Model Kits website does not mention this 2021 kit since it appears the site has not been updated since 2018. They are a Hong Kong based company and we know they are having some turmoil there. Scalemates.com has a listing showing this is a 2021 release based on the 2008 tool from Vintage Fighter Series. The site provides loads of links to, aftermarket parts, a review, walk-arounds and galleries of completed kits. Brett Green did a superb First Look Review on the cybermodeler.com site. You get about 4 dozen photos of the parts, including the decals. He praises the number of options available in this kit and the high level of detail in visible areas. Part of his Conclusion reads: “I rate Kinetic's P-47D Thunderbolt as a very good 1/24 scale kit, and one that could sit proudly beside your big Airfix and Trumpeter models of the same scale.” Michael Benolkin presented an exquisite Build Review of the previous Razorback release (KIN #3208) on the cybermodeler.com site. He did not build it straight Out Of the Box, so be aware of the many aftermarket parts (LED lights, instrument panels, weighted wheels, etc.) he used. His results were stunning, which shows the base model is a solid foundation for over-the-top superdetailing. This kit is in a heavy box about 15” x 10” x 8”, with awesome box art. As you can see from the pictures, the kit is in very good condition and is still sealed with tape strips, so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one complete injection molded plastic model kit with over 250 grey and clear plastic parts, 2 vinyl tires and an awesome set of Cartograf decals to make a mammoth Razorback Thunderbolt in RAF service. It requires cement and paint to complete as shown. I use eBay Managed Payments, but I no longer ship internationally. Auction winner pays the winning bid and for a limited time, this bulky item is offered with $14 Flat Rate Shipping in the US! No reserve and a low starting bid. Check out my other great auctions and listings for combined shipping. Good luck! Those familiar with my listings can tell that I really enjoy these products and the modeling hobby. I like to provide more than just the bare facts about the items, trying to lead you into discovering more about the subjects and optimizing your builds (if that is your goal). I started out picking up models that I was interested in, with the eye toward building them when I had time. Always a bargain-hunter, I accumulated many more than I can build, so I found myself in a Collector status (sounds nicer than a hoarder). As I am sure you have noticed, my items are almost always sealed and in mint condition (I call them Gift-Ready), since I only open them when I am ready to build them. Now I enjoy making these products available to my fellow modelers; both Builders and Collectors. For the Builders, there are probably better (at least cheaper) ways to add to your project lists than buying from me, but you know you are getting top quality. For Collectors, my goal is to save you a few bucks over the competition for the same item in factory sealed and collectible (or resellable) condition.
