12 Piece Lot Vintage Afghan Kuchi Tribal Jewelry

Description: The 12 pieces in this remarkable lot of Afghan-Kuchi tribal-jewelry were handcrafted during the mid-1900's in Central Asia. Most are in excellent vintage condition - a few have some irregularities. They have age-patina, which reflects light when photographed, so items may look brighter in images than they really are. Lot includes:1 large multi-strand Kashmiri necklace with 5 gorgeous pendants and equally gorgeous beads. Ties.1 traditional Afghan necklace with multiple red/blue beaded pendants and stylized tool pendant. Ornate beaded neckband. Hook at back.1 large Afghan headpiece with 2 large side pendants. Beaded and fringed with dangles. More recent straps added that contour to the top of the head to help hold it in place.3 large incised Kashmiri pendants with incised designs and green beads. The larges pendant has charm dangles.1 pair of large Afghan-Kuchi crescent earrings with blue-glass crescent centers. 18 gauge earwires (larger than standard sized). These ear wires should probably be replaced, since their lengths differ. 1 long Afghan-Waziri pendant with long charm-dangles. Pendants like these were traditionally attached to caps or belts.1 long necklace with large beaded phul pendant, studded border and charm dangle. The more recent neck-cord was wound with green beads interspersed with old coin pendant-charms.1 classic Afghan-Kuchi choker necklace with flexible neckband and bell-dangles. Lined with ties. Basic necklace. 1 Afghan bracelet with large red crescent bead and bell fringe. Hinge-pin clasp. Full disclosure, the pin looks to be a replacement, and not very well done so you will probably want to replace that yourself. 1 Afghan-Kuchi ring with 2 raised beads and bell accents. Large size 10.25.Lots come as is, sorry no substitutions. Items are not sold separately. All together, this HUGE lot weights over 3 pounds, so I have to add a little extra postage to help defray shipping costs a little. This old jewelry is perfect for belly dance, theater and stage costumes, or making dramatic statements.
